The district and town of Trzcianka is situated in the north-west of Wielkopolska region, on a border between Wałcz lake district and Noteć valley. The town and district of Trzcianka offer a lot in terms of natural beauty: the extensive views, mostly sinuous and hummocky with lakes and rivers, diversified terrain, moraine hummocks, and deep valleys with lots of lakes, peat-bogs, meadows and springs. The real wealth of Trzciaka are forests and lakes. Over 90% of the forest area is pine, besides there are oak-wood and beech-wood. There are also species like: larch, spruce, birches. The historical trees with millennium’s oak “Wojtuś” and forest path “Pańska Łaska” is the natural attraction. There are many wild animals in the forests and fields: deer, roe-deer, wild-boars, hares, pheasants, partridges, foxes, badgers, martens and musk-rats. In our forest you can also find numerous berries: blueberries, wild strawberries, raspberries, cranberries and also mushrooms. On the meadows upon Noteć River there are many species of valuable protected birds. In the centre and the western part of the district there are numerous lakes. .

The natural attractions and clean, unpolluted air guarantee ideal conditions for various kinds of recreation: hiking, cycling, yachting, windsurfing, angling and hunting. The district straddles the international cycle-track R-1, which is signposted and certified. It has been used as basis to mark local tracks.

· 3rd March – Municipal and District’s Holiday,

· 1st May – A marathon in memorial of Tadeusz Zieliński,

· June – The days of Trzcianka – Saint John’s Night,

· August – Harvest,

· September – The European Motorboats Championships.

Local section of PTTK promotes walking tours, cycling races and a canoeing rally. The best known races are "Rozdróżka" and "Andrzejki". PTTK looks after two tourists routes: :
- a yellow one - 54km (Stobno railwaystation - Łomnica - Trzcianka - Smolarnia - Dzierżozno - Wieleń)
- a green one - 26km (Kuźnica Czarnkowska - Radolin - Teresin - Trzcianka - Sarcz - Niekursko).


Nowadays, PTTK has got tree guide books for hikers, and one guide about the former Piła region. The route, on the map marked – red (about 52,8 km) goes through: Trzcianka – Straduń – Smolarnia – Górnica – Średnica – Jędrzejewo – Gajewo – Bukowiec – Kuźnica Czarnkowska – Radolinek – Radolin – Biała to Trzcianka.
